Was a founder member, and set and lighting designer, for visual theatre company TRICKSTER. Since 1989 he has been a partner in furniture designer/maker OBLIQUE. As well as Driven, Simon has designed and realised the sets for previous Motionhouse shows including Perfect, Volatile, Fearless, Atomic, Twisted, Faking it, Delicate, Geisha, House of Bones and the Ticking Man.
Sophy is a founder member, Artistic Director and composer for live art company Assault Events. Tim Dickinson is a professional sound engineer, composer and music producer, managing his own audio production company A.A.P.
Since 1997 Sophy and Tim have worked together, writing extensively for dance and theatre performances ranging from soundtracks for full length touring shows to music-theatre premieres for The Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival. They also regularly compose for TV and radio advertisements, TV documentaries, short films, live music performances and have commercially released their own music.
Mark has designed many dance and theatre productions in Britain and abroad including work by Christopher Bruce, Darshan Singh Bhuller, Yolande Snaith, The Cholmondeleys and Featherstonehaughs, Ricochet and Phoenix Dance Theatre.
He has also been commissioned to create several art installation pieces using projection and light. Mark also works as a producer and director of film and TV. Mark has a long standing relationship with Motionhouse and has lit many of the company’s touring pieces.
Chris is an award winning documentary filmmaker and animator whose specialism in participative filmmaking allows him to work with a wide and diverse group of people.
Chris came from the music inductry in 2000 to work with the Community Arts Workshop and currently juggles this role with his artistic directorship at the Living Archive and his freelance company, Willowmann Productions.
Claire is a costume designer and textile artist; Driven is her third collaboration with Motionhouse. Since graduating from Goldsmiths in 2002 with a degree in textiles, Claire has worked for companies including Attik Dance, The works, Incandescence, C-Scape and Effervescence.
Projects have included costumes for the Lord Mayors parade in London, large scale site specific performances, and working as an artist in residence. Claire is also a part time lecturer at University College Falmouth.
Jonathon Graham - Flying equipment design and installation
Following a successful and diverse career as a physical performer Jonathan became best known as the founder and pioneer of The Circus Space.
He now specialises in providing both creative and technical solutions for acrobatic & aerial choreography. Most recent credits include designing, installing and equipping St. Paul's, Church, Bristol, for Circomedia, and the acclaimed flying sequence in 'Billy Elliot the Musical.'
