Louise Richards and Kevin Finnan are the founding directors of Motionhouse.

For the first ten years of the company's life they shared artistic directorship but as the company grew they chose to split the joint role into Executive and Artistic Director titles. Whilst both continue to drive forward the artistic vision, Kevin has continued as Artistic Director, conceiving and directing the touring work, with Louise taking on responsibility for strategic planning and producing the programme as a whole.

In these separate roles, even today, there is close collaboration. Louise has a large input into the artistic work, acting as a sounding board for Kevin's ideas, an outside eye in the studio, teaching the dancers and supporting the whole artistic team. Kevin remains involved in long term strategy decisions for the company and contributes valuably to forward planning and project overview.
