Job Vacancies and Auditions - dancer APPRENTICES wanted
We held auditions on the Saturday 04 and Sunday 05 February 2012 for our Dance Apprentice positions. After a very busy day and an incredibly huge standard of auditionees we’re now delighted to be able to announce that George Adams, Luka Owen, Amy Lovelock and Laura Vanhulle will be joining the Motionhouse team as Dance Apprentices, starting from March 2012. They will join a previously auditioned four apprentices from the Northern School of Contemporary Dance; Jade Barton, Joshua Houghton, Tess Letham and Kalliopi-Ioanna Chodrakis (Pollyanna for short). The Dance Apprentices have an extraordinary opportunity to work alongside and be mentored by our dancers and create and perform material forThe Voyage, a major outdoor spectacle we are producing to open the London 2012 Festival in the West Midlands. The London 2012 Festival will span the entire country for 12 weeks, celebrating the Olympics from midsummer’s day 21 June, until 09 September 2012.
We will be collaborating with world-renowned aerialists Legs On The Wall from Australia on The Voyage, a vivid, visual and extraordinary performance that will celebrate the courage and imagination that prompts us to embark on journeys in pursuit of our dreams.
The Dance Apprentices will be assisting in delivering workshops and supporting the creation of community performance elements. We look forward to them joining our team.
