Chaser is fifteen nail-biting minutes of dynamic encounters,
high-speed socialising, friendly rivalry, flying and falling.
Acrobatic, dramatic and engaging, Chaser draws you right
in with its catchy music, attention grabbing style and startling
twist to the tale!
We will be performing
Chaser at festivals, on high streets, in parks and in a
range of public places across the country and hoping to
convert a few non-dance enthusiasts along the way…
Performed on and around a triangular set, by breathtaking
performers, this is a unique opportunity to watch something
extraordinary and unexpected taking place amidst the everyday.
Our festival performances are attention grabbing and highly
physical short pieces of dance, created for performance in
the public arena rather than in the confines of a theatre.
Each satellite show has its own unique set and props and can
literally be pulled out of the back of a van and performed
to a crowd within an hour and a half.
Our festival performances can be used as an effective marketing
tool to promote the company in tandem with our main touring
production, as the hub of a workshop residency and as a high
impact and thought-provoking piece for a festival, celebration
or corporate event.
In summer 2008 Chaser was performed at Norfolk & Norwich Festival, Liverpool Streets Ahead, Straattheaterfestival BuitenGewoon in Holland, Swansea Dance Days, Inside Out Festival in St Andrews, an event for Community Dance Wales in Pontypridd, Sziget Festival in Hungary, Random Acts at Canary Wharf, Rugby Borough Council's Family Day, Watch This Space at the National Theatre and at
Århus Festival in Denmark. Click here for performance dates.
Chaser was originally created with the support of Lichfield Garrick, mac, Solihull Arts Complex and Birmingham Hippodrome.
