In recent years Motionhouse has proved extremely popular on the streets arts festivals circuit and this summer is set to be no different, with countless performances of Underground and the new outdoor spectacle Cascade being booked for the UK and Europe.
Over the last two years Underground has experienced fantastic international success, being seen by 32,000 people as well as being invited to perform at the prestigious Fira Tàrrega in Spain last summer. 2009 also saw Underground receive the Audience Prize at the MiraMirO Festival in Ghent.
Surging onto the outdoor street festival scene for 2010 is Motionhouse’s newly commissioned piece Cascade that uses movement and aerial skills to combine the best of dance and flying in an engaging and humorous spectacle that looks at our lives in relation to water.
