Motionhouse celebrates 25 years of highly athletic dance performance in 2013 through the creation of two new shows, Broken for touring to theatre venues and Captive for outdoor audiences. One of the UK's foremost dance theatre companies. Motionhouse tour highly acclaimed productions to audiences in theatres and at festivals throughout the world. Rooted in dance, our dynamic productions draw on theatre, acrobatics and film.We're renowned for our ambitous experimentation with the performance environment and for developing large scale spectacles in which setting, action and context collide.
Alongside national and international touring, Motionhouse continue to work in schools throughout the UK and support young dancers through Motionhouse Youth at our Studio in Leamington Spa.
We receive funding from Arts Council England and we generate income from our performances and wider programme, but we need your support too. We have to raise a significant part of our budget from individuals and organisations, in order to keep developing exhilarating new works and offering hundreds of people the chance to join our classes and workshops.
