Motionhouse Classes
Throughout the year we lead a variety of classes and dance projects suitable for all ages and abilities from our Studio in Spencer Yard. These classes give you the chance to explore our style, learn new dance skills and make up some of your own moves.
Our classes are informal, energetic and fun and they're open to anyone with an interest in dance, no matter what experience you have. They run during every school holiday, apart from Christmas and are based on our company style, which is a mixture of contemporary dance, contact improvisation, lifts and acrobatic moves.
Our Classes
For Youngsters and Teens...
Our dance classes are a great way for kids and teens to keep active during the holidays. The 3 day courses are led by our friendly dancers and include a sharing where the kids can showcase their new skills. There are no more planned classes for 2011, but watch this space for information about next year's sessions.
FunDance
Dance & fun for everyone aged 5 - 9 years
FunDance is a playful and creative exploration of dance moves and routines that will help increase confidence and develop rhythm and musicality, whilst providing plenty of laughs along the way.
StreetDance
10- 13 year old boys and girls
StreetDance is an energetic exploration of contemporary dance inspired by funky street moves. The upbeat, fast-paced class will involve acrobatic moves and lifts and is guaranteed to offer a fun an exciting look at the Motionhouse style.

The 3 day courses are advisable to get the most out of the classes, but individual sessions are available, please call for details. Some concessionary rates are also available please call for details.
*Early Bird Discounts are available when half term courses are booked and paid for two weeks prior to the start date of the course.

Why should the kids have all the fun? If you want to shape up and learn new skills then our Contemporary Beginners class will indulge your desire to dance! And for the experienced dancers why not try our challenging Advanced Contemporary course.
Contemporary Beginners
The Contemporary Beginners class offers you the perfect opportunity to dance alongside our professional dancers and gain an insight into the company style. Learn fun routines and short sequences and develop your basic lifting and partnering skills.
Contemporary Advanced
Our Contemporary Advanced class is open to dance students or anyone with experience in dance. The course will look at developing your technique and vocabulary whilst exploring our company style. The classes will be high-energy and concentrate on developing fast-paced sequences and floor work as well as lifts, catches, jumps and some acrobatics.

Motionhouse's contemporary dance classes are designed for adults 16 years+, however exceptions are possible for those with experience. For further information or to discuss your eligibility please call Mezze.
