Fearless

2001-2002

A remarkable dance theatre production that had the versatility to tour to a range of likely and unlikely spaces! This incredible show toured nationwide from February 2001 to full houses and fantastic reviews.

''INSPIRATIONAL...A SHEER TONIC'
The Birmingham Post

'ONE OF THE MOST ENERGETIC SHOWS EVER CHOREOGRAPHED'
The Stage

'ANOTHER HIGH-ADRENALINE ENSEMBLE WHERE IT IS IMPORTANT FOR BOTH THE AUDIENCE AND PERFORMERS TO KEEP THEIR NERVE'
The Guardian

Fearless was a great success in venues ranging from Buxton Opera House to Chamberlain Square in Birmingham to St. Keverne Village Hall on the Lizard.

Fearless explored our phobias - fear of falling, fear of flying, fear of open or closed spaces and took place in, on and around an extraordinary set by arch collaborator, Simon Dormon.

In a turbine of extreme physical action the three dancers launched and hurled themselves across platforms, swung and shimmied on Escher inspired steps, and leaped and dived into a 'bouncy castle' pool. The language was by turns athletic and tender, poignant and funny; the sound world was a vibrant and eclectic mix of the teasingly familiar, the atmospheric, and the plain old sing along.
