Motionhouse’s next production Scattered is currently in the making and will premiere at Warwick Arts Centre on 2 October 2009.
Scattered combines highly physical dance theatre and aerial imagery with film and graphics, creating a feast of visual effects. Performed on a huge curved floor which disappears skywards upstage, Scattered uses multiple projection technology to create a world in which seven dancers move in, on and through the image: suspended in a frozen ocean, running up a mountain of thumb tacks and helter skeltering onto the stage from the mantelpiece of life.
With Scattered we are continuing our explorations into dance and film performance, which began with the award-winning Perfect and continued in our 07/08 production Driven. We are collaborating with Logela Multimedia, digital innovators from the Basque region of Spain, to create a unique visual performance event.
