23rd August 2017

Local dance company Motionhouse and First Utility are delighted to announce that the Warwick-headquartered energy and broadband challenger is the official energy partner of Charge – an exciting dance-circus production exploring the role of electricity in the human body and the role it plays in our everyday lives. The show premieres at Warwick Arts Centre on 4 October 2017.

Kevin Finnan MBE, Artistic Director of Motionhouse and Choreographer and Movement Director of the Opening Ceremony of the London 2012 Paralympic Games said: “Charge will make energy magical, exciting and engaging. It will make it visible and tangible. We want to get people talking about energy and to be excited by it.”

Louise Richards, Executive Director of Motionhouse said: “There is real synergy between First Utility’s aim to be an innovator in the energy sector and our aims with Charge. The production will bring energy to life, and aims to make people think about the role of energy in our lives.”

“This partnership demonstrates the way business and the arts can work together in a mutually beneficial way. The whole team is looking forward to working with First Utility.”

Jill Dougan, Chief Marketing Officer at First Utility said: “We are excited to be partnering with a local organisation and to be supporting what promises to be a great show.”

“We are always looking to make the topic of energy more interesting and engaging, and our partnership with Motionhouse does exactly that. Our hope is that the audience enjoys the show as well as considers the role that energy plays in our day-to-day lives.”
