Meet Beth, Sophie, Elly and Stefania!

We are delighted to present the lovely girls who have been training with us since September! Meet Beth, our Artist in Training; Sophie and Elly, our Apprentices; and Stefania, our Artist in Development!

Since September, they’ve been involved in the Motionhouse company life, learning some Motionhouse repertoire with other company members, building strength and skills training in basing, lifting, acrobatics and set work, and assisting our dancers in the community classes and participatory work we offer.

As one of the UK leading dance companies, we strive to offer dancers, whether in training, freelancing or professional, a wide range of development opportunities. Our voluntary Artist in Development and Artist in Training schemes, as well as our partnership with Northern School of Contemporary Dance’s MA in Contemporary Dance Performance: professional placement scheme, enables us to welcome these dancers for an extended period of time, allowing them participate in the unique company life of Motionhouse, develop a valuable skill set and grow as dancers making their way in the dance industry.
