We’re really proud of the partnerships that we build with the venues and other arts organisations that we work with. One key example of this is our partnership with Birmingham Hippodrome as one of their Hippodrome Associates.
The Hippodrome Associates programme supports exciting established artists and companies in the Midlands to achieve their artistic ambitions, and we’re really proud to be part of this amazing programme.
It’s such a pleasure to work closely with everyone at Birmingham Hippodrome to identify areas where we can collaborate to create life-changing opportunities for audiences and participants as part of this partnership.
We’re also excited to announce that as part of their commitment, Birmingham Hippodrome is one of the commissioning partners for our next touring production for theatres, which will premiere in February 2025 (watch this space for more news on that soon!). In addition, they will offer investment support around the premiere of the show.
Another key element we have identified together is our work with Birmingham Hippodrome’s Hippodrome Education Network, which in recent years has seen Rehearsal Director Junior Cunningham regularly work creatively with young people from the region to create a range of ‘Curtain Raisers’ with young people to be performed before a Motionhouse production. The groups are made up of super-talented young people who put their all into creating work with Junior and performing it onstage – or in the case of our performances of WILD this summer, in Birmingham Bullring as part of Birmingham Weekender.
Thanks to Birmingham Hippodrome for making the Hippodrome Associates possible and for all the work you do to support the artists and the sector in the region.
