Premiere of Hidden

At Warwick Arts Centre

9th February 2025

A huge thank you to our brilliant audiences who came out to share the premiere performances of Hidden with us over the past few days at Warwick Arts Centre. The audience is the final piece in the jigsaw when we make a new production, and a show is not finished until audiences have experienced it together in a theatre. With sell-out shows across the run, we’ve had a fabulous few days catching up with old friends and making new ones.

It’s always special to perform at our local ‘home’ venue where we’ve premiered most of our productions since 1988. Massive thanks to the whole team at Warwick Arts Centre for the warm welcome and for looking after us so well for the past week.

We are so proud of our incredible performers who have been thrilling and moving the packed auditorium with their performances, as well as Kevin, Danny and technical team and creative collaborators, who’ve all worked so hard to bring this beautiful production to life.

On Saturday evening, Motionhouse Youth created a very special start to the evening with their curtain raiser before the show, and on Friday Ashley Jordan from Ascension Dance did a brilliant job chairing the post show discussion, which was attended by around 200 people who stayed to hear from our dancers, Kevin and Danny about how Hidden was created.

If you joined us at Warwick Arts Centre, we would love to hear what you thought of the show and would really appreciate it if you could fill in our short online survey (it only takes a few minutes).

Hidden is co-commissioned by FABRIC, Birmingham Hippodrome and Warwick Arts Centre, with support from the John Ellerman Foundation and the UK’s innovation agency, Innovate UK. Thanks to them for their support that enabled Hidden to be made. We’re proud to be a Birmingham Hippodrome Associate Company, who provide ongoing support for new work, and to be one of Warwick District Council’s Creative Partners.

And a final thanks to Arts Council England, without whom we simply wouldn’t be able to make such brilliant work for audiences.

Hidden will now start its extensive touring life, which will continue into early 2027 and beyond, starting with a 14-venue premiere tour and a 17-venue second tour, which will kick off at Birmingham Hippodrome in October 2025.

We’re looking forward to seeing you somewhere on tour. In the meantime, to whet your appetite, watch our brilliant new trailer below.
