Our Professional Development Course starts one week today, so if you’re a professional dancer or a dancer in training, this is your final call to apply now!
Running from 29 – 31 May, 10am – 5.30pm, this three-day intensive session is a fantastic opportunity to work with our professional Motionhouse performers and to explore our distinctively physical Motionhouse style, including our unique approach to contact work, rep, partnering techniques. Participants will even get the chance to learn repertoire from our highly physical outdoor production, Captive, including the specific skills and aerial training required to work on the set.
Aimed at dance professionals and those in professional training, this intensive course is a chance to push your physicality beyond technique, gain a unique insight into the work of the company, and develop an inventive new set of skills. Each day will begin with a technique class led by a company member, followed by a session on contact improvisation and partnering. This intensive aims to build your confidence, develop and refine your abilities.
It takes place at our new Creation Space in the beautiful new Vitsoe building on Old Warwick Road, Leamington Spa CV31 3NT. The cost is £165 for 3 days. Price includes a daily cooked lunch.
