Our Motionhouse Youth group have been busy with lots of exciting projects and performances this summer and have many more just around the corner.
Last month Motionhouse Youth performed at Cars at the Spa, the classic car rally event organised by the Rotary Club of Leamington Spa at the Royal Pump Room Gardens. The group really enjoyed performing at this fantastic event and we received a great audience response. Have a look at the performance in action by viewing the images below:
Currently, our Motionhouse Youth group are working on a really exciting performance coming up as part of the Commonwealth Social event in Centenary Square, Birmingham on Saturday 27th July. The group are in the midst of creating a new piece for this event with company dancer Aaron Watkinson with direction from our Artistic Director, Kevin Finnan. The piece will also feature two of our company dancers, Chris and Berta which makes this an extra special opportunity for all those involved as it is the first time that our youth company and main company will be performing together! The Commonwealth Social is FREE for all to attend and will run from 12pm- 7pm with sport, food, music, dance and live performances running throughout the day to celebrate 3 years to go. You can catch Motionhouse Youth performing in Performance Space 2, Centenary Square, Birmingham, outside the Library of Birmingham at 2:30pm and 5pm. Find out more about the event here.
Motionhouse Youth will also be performing alongside our main company at Art in the Park on Sunday 4th August. They will be performing a series of short works made during a recent summer holiday residency with local dance artists based on the theme of water. You don’t want to miss it!
