We're performing on BBC One for The National Lottery's Team GB Homecoming!

Exciting things are happening at Motionhouse, so we thought we’d give you an update about what’s been going on behind the scenes and what is coming up!

We’re performing at The National Lottery’s Team GB Homecoming event on Sunday 15th August at the SSE Arena, Wembley and broadcast to the nation on BBC One from 7.30pm. 
 
We’ll be performing alongside the brilliant Yungblud who will sing David Bowie’s ‘Heroes’. The star-studded line-up also includes Anne-Marie, Bastille, Rag’n’Bone Man, Griff, Nile Rodgers, Laura Mvula, English National Ballet, Chickenshed and Rambert. 
 
We’re incredibly proud to be part of the event to welcome home from Tokyo all the amazing Team GB athletes.

Our New Documentary

On Tuesday night, we premiered our documentary about our new show Nobody. The Story of the Making of Nobody: Creating in the Time of Covid is now available to watch on our YouTube channel! 

Ahead of the world premiere of Nobody next month at The Peacock Theatre in London, the documentary gives you a behind the scenes sneakpeek into the making of the show. It follows the journey of the making of Nobody and gives you an insight into how we created Nobody during the pandemic and how it shaped the vision for the show. Featuring interviews with our Artistic Director Kevin Finnan, our dancers and our Rehearsal Director Junior Cunningham as well as never-before-seen clips from rehearsals this documentary gives you a backstage pass to our creation process!

Brand new classes for children and young people!

Booking is now open for the Autumn term of our classes for children and young people, which includes two brand new classes! 
 
Taught by a Motionhouse dancer, our classes are designed to make everyone feel safe, accepted and challenged regardless of age or ability. Our new classes Inters (for ages 11  14) and Seniors (for ages 14  19) will give participants the chance to explore our dance style, learn new skills and explore acrobatic moves.

New tour dates announced!

We’re back out on the roadA bit closer to home this Saturday for WILD at Party on the green in Holbrooks Park, Coventry. Then onto Birmingham to perform WILD at the Birmingham Weekender on Saturday 28th – Sunday 29th August and Captive at Rotherham show on Friday 3rd September.  
 
We’re also delighted to announce we’re performing our extraordinary JCB production, Torque, at the Dollar Bank Three Rivers Arts Festival, Pittsburgh, USA next year.
