Tell us your story! Launching the Wondrous Stories Post Box

Today we launched the Wondrous Stories Post Box with members of the creative team and performers from Wondrous Stories and our friend Perry, the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games mascot!

Wondrous Stories is inspired by stories and storytelling. We’re inviting people from across the region to share their story to form a snapshot of life in the area as Birmingham and the West Midlands become the focus of international attention through the Commonwealth Games.

We all have a story to tell, and in the lead up to Wondrous Stories we want to hear as many stories of people across the city and region as possible.

Stories can be whatever you want to share – stories of everyday life, what Birmingham and the region mean to you, or just stories about what is important to you in your life. It could be as short as one sentence or longer, it’s entirely up to you!

There are lots of ways to share your story:

Come and post it in our Special Wondrous Stories Post Box in The Library of Birmingham.

Or you can post it to:

Library of Birmingham, Level 4 (BREC Team), Centenary Square, BIRMINGHAM B1 2ND

Or upload it to wondrousstories.motionhouse.co.uk where you can share your story in any way you want – audio file, video, image or text document. It is important to read our policy document on our website  before uploading.

Please do not include any personal information that might identify you! Don’t include your name and address, or any other information you would not like to be shared publicly. If you share videos and images, please only share what you are happy to go public with. All the stories will be uploaded onto wondrousstories.motionhouse.co.uk so that we can create an archive of them to keep after the show.

Take a picture of yourself as you share your story using the hashtag #WondrousStories to let us know when you’ve posted your story. We’re looking forward to hearing all your amazing stories!
