This week, we’re celebrating our mentoring work for our 35th birthday blog.
We’re really proud of the fact that we’re passing on the knowledge and experience that we’ve accumulated over the past 3 and a half decades to benefit emergent artists, upcoming companies and the sector in general.
We’re always open to welcoming young or emergent artists to learn from us. Sometimes this can be by them coming in to spend time with us to see how we make our work, or to learn and train with us, but we also offer structured and tailored individual mentoring opportunities.
Last year, our Co-Founders Louise Richards and Kevin Finnan gave 32 mentoring sessions to 49 artists from across the country on a range of subjects, including offering advice on how to successfully develop and run a dance company, how to navigate the challenges of international touring since Brexit, artistic development and the creation of new work, working with sets and more.
