Twisted began with the news that something had been released into the atmosphere – it could not be seen or smelt so how did anyone know it was there?
What was more dangerous – the unknown substance or the mystery that surrounded it? News spread like wildfire and hype led to rumour which created panic. As events became distorted, so people and things became twisted.
