Wondrous Wednesday – Performing on home turf

5th January 2022

It’s another Wondrous Wednesday; our blog dedicated to Wondrous Stories! Conceived and directed by our Artistic Director Kevin Finnan, this extraordinary large-scale production will be the opening show of the Birmingham 2022 Festival.

This week we are featuring our wonderful Rehearsal Director, Junior Cunningham! Born and bred in Birmingham, Junior can’t wait to see Wondrous Stories come to life in his home city. Alongside performing, he will be supporting Kevin in the creation of the show.

Junior is a vital member of the Motionhouse team, with a huge amount of experience working on and performing in large-scale shows. He joined Motionhouse as an apprentice in 2002, then became a full-time dancer in January 2003 and has performed in all of our large-scale shows to date!

Watch the video below to find out why performing so close to home is so important to him and what to expect from Wondrous Stories!

Don’t miss Junior’s appearance in the show! Wondrous Stories will be performed in Centenary Square, Birmingham with free performances every evening from March 17 – 20 2022.
