Wondrous Wednesday – Tell your story!

It’s another Wondrous Wednesday; our blog dedicated to Wondrous Stories! Conceived and directed by our Artistic Director Kevin Finnan, this extraordinary large-scale production will be the opening show of the Birmingham 2022 Festival.

A few weeks ago, we launched our Wondrous Stories Post Box with members of the creative team and performers from the show!

Wondrous Stories is inspired by our connection to stories and storytelling. We’re inviting people from across the region to share their stories in our Wondrous Stories post box to form a snapshot of life in the area as Birmingham and the West Midlands become the focus of international attention through the Commonwealth Games. A selection of stories will also be used in a scene in the show!

We all have a story to tell, and in the lead up to Wondrous Stories we want to hear as many stories of people across the city and region as possible. Watch the video below to hear some of the stories from people that are involved in the show!

There are lots of ways to share your story:

Come and post it in our Special Wondrous Stories Post Box in The Library of Birmingham.

Or you can post it to:

Library of Birmingham, Level 4 (BREC Team), Centenary Square, BIRMINGHAM B1 2ND

Or upload it to wondrousstories.motionhouse.co.uk where you can share your story in any way you want – audio file, video, image or text document. It is important to read our policy document on our website before uploading.

All the stories will be uploaded onto wondrousstories.motionhouse.co.uk so that we can create an archive of them to keep after the show. Read people’s stories, tell your own or find out more on our Wondrous Stories Digital Platform!
