Globe excerpt from Wondrous Stories

Following the spectacular performances of Wondrous Stories, the opening show of the Birmingham 2022 Festival in March, we’re performing an excerpt from the globe section of this fantastic show at the Smithfield Festival Site from Friday 29th July to Sunday 7th August. See two circus artists perform an incredible duet inside a giant globe!

Our associates Cornelius Atkinson and Isis Clegg-Vinell will be performing a section of the stunning duet in the globe structure every day from Friday 29th July to Sunday 7th August.

Performances at 6.10pm and 10pm (2nd performance time changes to 10.20pm Saturday 30th & Sunday 31st July and 9.30pm on Saturday 6th August).

Isis Clegg-Vinell

Isis is a well established artist who has spent the past eleven years performing all over the world with some of the biggest names in the Circus industry, including Cirque Du Soleil, 7 Fingers and La Soiree. With a background in ballet and competitive gymnastics – a combination that gave a strong foundation to become an acrobat – she specialises in partner acrobatics and in particular, aerial acrobatics. She competed for Team GB and after retiring from gymnastics, completed her BA in Circus Arts – a place where all her talents and passions of acro, dance and theatre – could blend together.

Cornelius Atkinson

Cornelius is a high level aerialist and acrobat who brings powerful and creative energy to the stage with his ability to blend grace and strength with thrilling acrobatics. He has performed around the globe with Cirque du Soleil, where he was part of the duo finale number on the show ‘Crystal’, as well as a number of other companies and corporate events. Trained in ballet and martial arts, as well as theatre and fencing, his dedication to refining his skillset makes him an incredibly exciting performer to watch.
